My Personal Story

There are many reasons why people come to therapy. Sometimes it is to deal with long-standing issues such as anxiety or depression. Other times it is in response to unexpected changes in their life such as a relationship difficulties, work transition or bereavement just to name a few.  During this time many seek support through counselling and psychotherapy as they pursue their own personal exploration and growth.

In order to work as a counsellor I have undertaken rigorous and extensive training and supervision while also attending personal therapy. In doing so I am aware of what it is like to be a client and with my training I am in a privileged position to guide you through this difficult time.

Through my personal therapy I have overcome many issues from my past and in doing so I believe I have become more accepting of myself. In this journey of self-discovery I have gained the knowledge that I needed, to live a more fulfilling and fruitful life and in doing so I can see the benefits of counselling and psychotherapy and truly believe you will too.

The finest quality that I bring to my work is my care for my clients. To sit with my clients and explore their life journey is a position that I really feel privileged to be in. It has taken many years of study and commitment to place me in this position but it really has been worthwhile.
