Austin Mahoney - Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Austin is the founder of Blue Sky Counselling & Psychotherapy and has worked as a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist for over many years. While working in his private practice Austin has also worked in schools providing a counselling service for the students.

Having amassed many years working with a diverse range of clients, I feel privileged to have experienced the client’s world as they do.  It has enabled me to walk alongside them all the time listening and providing support, validation, empathy and understanding.  I have experience working with Individuals with many presenting issues such as:

Throughout my studies I have gained a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a Certificate in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training that are all recognised by the IACP.

I have worked succesfuly with adoloescents, adults and also with couples counselling. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues and I follow a practice of continuous professional development and personal development to expand my knowledge and enrich my work with clients.
